How long should your course be?
Pick a length that matches the outcome: fewer lessons for one job-to-be-done, more depth for ongoing practice.
Course length is a product decision, not a moral one. Learners want results and clarity, not an endless playlist.
Start by naming the outcome. If the outcome is narrow, your course should be short. If the outcome requires repetition and feedback, add practice and checkpoints instead of more talking.
Aim for a main track that a busy person can finish. Add optional depth as bonus lessons so advanced learners feel supported without overwhelming everyone else.
If you are unsure, launch a smaller version. You can always add modules once you see what students ask next.
